Meaning and Practice of Yoga Asanas
The word Yoga literally means “becoming One”.
The idea that you have to do something to get there is just a mental programme running.
Instead of doing something, it is about gradually opening up to the realisation that everything is One and it is expressing itself through you. This realisation requires an ethic, towards yourself and others, since there is no distinction between you, so-called others and all that lives.
In gradually opening up in it is important to listen carefully to life, as it is life itself that guides you. Practicing yoga can bring you the sensitivity and confidence needed for this and thus empower you.
Yoga is a physical way to open to a meditative state. Silence, solitude and space support this, which is why, in addition to yoga Asanas and meditation, being in silence during a retreat is highly recommended.
During a yoga retreat, a maximum of five people participate in a yoga class. The groups are deliberately kept small and the explanations of the Asanas minimal to support the contemplative aspect of a retreat.
Asha Meditation
During the retreat you will have six meditations, called Asha meditation.
In the first half of the Asha meditation a regular rhythm is maintained by the staf for you in order to make a transition to a meditative state. The second half of the meditation is in silence.
Quiet down and connect in full attention
There is the possibility to be in silence. Yoga in combination with silence and meditation is a wonderful way to quieten down and connect in full attention. It offers the opportunity to fully relax and experience a beneficial space in body and mind. If you need inner peace to return with more clarity, this yoga retreat is for you.

This Yoga retreat will be guided by yoga teacher Katelijn
Katelijn has a background as a yoga teacher in critical alignment yoga. In her lessons she has a personal approach in attunement with where you are at the moment. She challenges you to look beyond your own beliefs and sees the body as a gateway or bridge to a meditative state.
Comments:
The way in which Katelijn guides you through the exercises is very subtle and with great effect. Her words speak to the imagination and at the same time have a very direct influence and effect on the physical experience.

The effect of the yoga classes is still present, it's as if I view the world differently and more positively, I have exactly lost my luggage from the past months.
